What’s going on

Date: January 20, 2013.

I have been working on lots of merit badges. I am working on finishing the Computers merit badge this week with the troop. And we will be starting on chess next week. We have also been working on Farm Mechanics and Family Life. And eventually we are going to start the Railroading merit badge. I’m having a lot of fun.

First Court of Honor

Date: September 30, 2012.

My first Court of Honor was today. Court of Honor is were we get all the merit badges we have earned since the last Court of Honor. All I got were the five from camp. But some of the others had a stack of them! I had a lot of fun.

Yellowstone National Park

Date: July 15, 2012.

I just got home from camp and it was a blast!!! It was tight but I was able to complete 5 merit badges! Also, if you have never been to Yellowstone and you want to come, remember to bring plenty of blankets to put inside your sleeping bag or a very warm sleeping bag. Because, after the first night we had to get more blankets. Brrrrrrr!!! But other than that first freezing cold night it was a blast! Here is a picture of me working on my Indian Lore merit badge. I am learning to throw the Tomahawk.

Pancake Feed

Date: April 7, 2012.

The Boy Scout Pancake Feed was a huge success! The worst part about it was that I had to be there around 5:30am!!! I am defiantly NOT a early bird. But it went well. I got to cook, serve, clean, and assist the people. Also, during the Feed, a small Bake Sale went on. We did well. We brought puppy chow (muddy buddies) and fudge. We made enough to pay for my trip to Yellowstone.

Rookie

Date: March 25, 2012.

While not officially a Boy Scout yet, I am selling Pancake Feed tickets to earn money to go to a camp near Yellowstone National Park. The camp is called Camp Buffalo Bill. By then, I will have graduated from Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts and have moved-up into Boy Scouts. I’m so excited!!! My first Boy Scout camp is going to be just outside the East entrance of Yellowstone National Park!
